About the Book
The title of this book How to Build a Great Church is challenging, and the treatment is deeply convincing. It is divided into seventeen chapters touching virtually every aspect of this vast and important theme. It is written for the blessing and benefit of every Christian. Practical applications and responsibilities are made clear and inescapable. If you think this book will give an easy path or quick way to build the church you will be disappointed. That comes only through trust in God, hard work, patience, and deep prayer.
The overwhelming purpose of How to build a Great Church is to assist the average-size congregation. The vast majority of congregations are under two hundred in size, yet practically everything in print is geared toward the larger congregations. Carefully watch the title because, if you look, you will see it says great church, not big or famous, or pacesetting, but great. Every congregation of the Lord’s church can be great regardless of its size!
