Dr. E. Claude Gardner grew up on his parents’ farm and worked in their grocery store. He became a Christian educator par excellence. His career, spanning six decades, has been amazingly productive and full. He has served on every level at Freed-Hardeman University, teacher to Chancellor. His presidency saw the move from a junior college to a senior college, to university status, and to graduate study. Under his leadership, enrollment reached 1544 undergraduate students in 1981. He has influenced community activity. He has edited two books, written over 350 articles, and preached in more than 300 gospel meetings in the U.S. and in at least eleven foreign countries. Retired from college work as president emeritus, he now devotes time to preaching, lecturing, writing, consulting, enjoying his four children and six grandchildren, tending his vegetable garden, cooking, and serving as Chancellor of Georgia Christian School at Valdosta. His productivity across the years has been recognized by the many awards he has received, including five honorary doctorate degrees. No small achievement. But no small life.
About the Book
These important Bible messages are not what “theologians” have proclaimed. Instead, in easy-tounderstand language they appeal to the authority of what Christ and the apostles taught. They are filled with wisdom, truth, and common sense applications to life.
They will encourage dedicated children of God, lead honest souls to know the joy of salvation, and lead the unsaved and the erring to our Lord Jesus Christ. May this book cause one to declare, “Now wash me and I shall be whiter than snow.”
