About the Book
A.G. Freed was president of five schools, including one of the oldest among churches of Christ, Freed-Hardeman University. He was foremost a schoolman, but was also a preacher, debater, penman, cyclist, boxer, among other things. Trace his interesting life and influence from Illinois to Tennessee, and from Tennessee to numerous parts of the globe in this well written and informative book.
About the Author
A popular teacher, lecturer and writer, Ancil Jenkins serves as the minister of the Jamestown Church of Christ in Jamestown, Tennessee. He has held other pulpits in New Mexico, Alabama, Texas and Georgia. His interest in evangelism has led to his playing a leading role in 21 evangelistic crusades in eight foreign countries as well as numerous gospel meetings, workshops and lectureships in the United States.
He attended Freed Hardeman University and David Lipscomb University, gaining advanced degrees from Abilene Christian University and Southern Christian University. For a number of years he has written adult Bible school material as well as numerous articles and tracts. He is the author of Lord, Teach Us To Pray and a commentary on the Gospel of Mark.
