Dr. Sam E. Hester, owner and operator of Hester Publications of Henderson, Tennessee and its online counterpart, Sam's Book Factory, is proud to welcome you to his site. He is Professor of Bible and Director of the Christian Training Series (CTS) at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee.
Dr. Hester received his B.A. in Bible and Greek at Harding College in 1968. He finished his Master's of Theology in 1972 at the Harding College Graduate School of Religion in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed his doctorate in 1977 in Church History and Theology at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dr. Hester has a love for the church described in the New Testament, and a passion for studying the history of those who have tried their hardest to restore that New Testament Christianity. His research in pursuite of his doctorate focused on the Anabaptists, the people who lived after Martin Luther began the Protestant Reformation.
Dr. Hester's company, Hester Publications, not only keeps several religious books in print, but also publishes religious works for others. Hester Publications is a "short-run" publisher, usually printing 200 to 500 copies of any given book.
These books are generally printed in black and white with a four-color cover. The books he prints range from 100 to 350 pages of instructional and spiritual material. These books are "perfect-bound," meaning that the books have a flat spine, like that of a telephone book.
Hester Publications also prints manuals or directories in the 8.5x11 inch saddle-stitched format. Dr. Hester is eager to help you and help the world have better access to knowledge about Christ and His church. Check out "What We Can Do For you" to see how we can help you or your congregation meet your printing needs.
